  22.     The media today encompasses a broad spectrum of information suppliers,
  23. however there is something seriously wrong with out supposed "freedom of the
  24. press."  This article will detail some of the crimes committed by various
  25. entities in the media world.  Specifically dealing with the television
  26. epidemic that is creating mindless zombies nationwide, we will try to shed
  27. some light on what has been going on.
  28.  
  29.     When several unnamed individuals that I spoke with who work inside the
  30. television industry tell me, "No matter what anyone says, it is controlled,"
  31. my suspicions were confirmed.  Its one thing to suspect a conspiracy and quite
  32. another to be told by people in the media.
  33.  
  34.     The next section is a copy of a file a called INFMOPY.ZIP, "The
  35. Information Monopoly", which has some good facts in it.  After that section,
  36. we will look at current examples of media omissions and propaganda.  (ie. Waco
  37. Texas, L.A. Riots, etc.)

  42.                           THE INFORMATION MONOPOLY
  43.  
  44.         The rapidly increasing concentration of media ownership in the U.S.
  45. raises critical questions about whether the public has access to diverse
  46. opinion.  And not surprisingly, the impact of this information monopoly
  47. continues to be ignored by the mass  media.
  48.  
  49.         In 1982, when media expert Ben Bagdikian completed research for his
  50. book THE MEDIA MONOPOLY, he found that 50 corporations controlled half or more
  51. of the media business.  By December 1986, when he finished a revision for a
  52. second edition, that figure had shrunk to 29 corporations.  Six months later,
  53. when he wrote an article for the media publication EXTRA, the number was down
  54. to 26. Some Wall Street media analysts predict that by the 1990s six giant
  55. firms will control most of our media .
  56.  
  57.         Bagdikian notes that of the 1,700 daily papers, 98 percent are local
  58. monopolies and few than 15 corporations control most of the country's
  59. circulation. A handful of firms control most of the magazine business, with
  60. Time, Inc. alone accounting for about 40 percent of that industry's revenues.
  61. The three broadcasting networks -- Capital Cities / ABC, CBS, and NBC --still
  62. have majority access to the television audience, and most of the book business
  63. is controlled by fewer than a dozen companies, with major categories like
  64. paperback and trade books dominated by still fewer firms.
  65.  
  66.         The situation is exacerbated by the conflict of interest caused by
  67. interlocking boards of directors. An earlier study, by Peter Dreier and Steven
  68. Weinberg, found this phenomenon in major newspaper chains like Gannett, which
  69. shared directors with Merrill Lynch, Standard Oil of Ohio, 20th Century Fox,
  70. Kerr-McGee, McDonnell Douglas, McGraw-Hill, Eastern Airlines, Phillips
  71. Petroleum, Kellogg Company, and New York Telephone.
  72.  
  73.         The most influential newspaper in America, THE NEW YORK TIMES, shared
  74. directors with Merck, Morgan Guaranty Trust, Bristol-Myers, Charter Oil,
  75. Johns-Manville, American Express, Bethlehem Steel, IBM, Scott Paper, Sun Oil,
  76. and First Boston Corporation.

  78.         Bagdikian's warning is ominous: "A shrinking number of large media
  79. corporations now regard monopoly and historic levels of profit as not only
  80. normal, but as their earned right. In the process, the usual democratic
  81. expectations for the media -- diversity of ownership and ideas -- have
  82. disappeared."

  93.     In the past two years the television industry has gone through some major
  94. changes.  The current fad seems to encompass shows like Cops, Rescue 911, etc.
  95. These types of shows (in my opinion) are the most destructive type of
  96. programming that could be put out over the airwaves.  For example: We now see
  97. the show "FBI - The Untold Stories".  Americans are being CONDITIONED into
  98. believing that the FBI is our friend, that the police really know how to
  99. protect our rights, and that we are to never question authority figures.  This
  100. is something straight out of George Orwell's novel 1984!
  101.  
  102.     The other major theme that has been plaguing America now is the News
  103. Media.  Those wonderful smiling faces that detail the death and destruction of
  104. the world.  In this article we will examine several cases of "lies of
  105. omission".  A lie by omission is still a lie no matter how much you smile.  I
  106. will detail two examples of current omissions.  First, the blatant murder of
  107. the Davidians in Waco, the L.A. Riots, and an episode of 20/20 which talked
  108. about the UN-TAX movement.
  109.  
  110.     Before we get into the major examples I would like to give an example of
  111. how the press uses their cameras to distort or change the scene of things
  112. around in important cases.
  113.  
  114.     DnA Issue #2 was released on Memorial Day weekend, and something very
  115. interesting took place on this weekend.  President Bill Clinton was going to
  116. visit the Vietnam Memorial on Memorial Day.  Now, I had heard from several
  117. people that the Vietnam Vets were severely irritated that draft-dodger Clinton
  118. was going to be at their sacred shrine.  Also, I had heard, that they would
  119. agree to him coming, but he was not to touch it.  If he did, they would kill
  120. him.
  121.  
  122.     So, Memorial Day comes.  Now, on the television we all saw Mr. Billy
  123. Clinton giving another stale speech.  Then we see a group of Vets booing
  124. Clinton and yelling at him.  Next, we hear Clinton say, "To those of you who
  125. are yelling...I have heard you, now you will hear me."  All at once, the
  126. people around the podium start cheering the wonderful and blameless president,
  127. and the yelling and booing dies down.  That was all interesting, but it was
  128. the behind-the-scenes media/government manipulation that made me infuriated.
  129.  
  130.     These are a few things that you did not see on the television:
  131.  
  132.     * All of the Vietnam Vets that were opposed to Clinton being at the
  133.       Vietnam Memorial (a big phucking majority!) were moved.  They were moved
  134.       two football field-lengths away from the wall.
  135.  
  136.     * Over 200 Clinton drones (supporters) were shown to their seats in front
  137.       of the podium where the President would give his speech.
  138.  
  139.     * Even though the Vets were that far away, they still made enough noise to
  140.       make Clinton acknowledge their presence.  After Clinton's little remark,
  141.       all of his drones (supporters) cheered vigorously for the cameras.
  142.  
  143.     * Also you didn't see the ring of S.S. (secret service) around the entire
  144.       area.  Obviously they took the Vets threats a little seriously.  Even
  145.       though nothing happened.

  148.     You can see by this example, that if something "embarrasses" the
  149. government severely, you won't see it on "Channel 2 Action News" and that
  150. events are edited and altered to give an illusion of a false reality.

  157.     On February 28, 1993 we witnessed the single most murderous and illegal
  158. operation conducted by the government on private citizens in this country's
  159. history.  The operation was carried out in full view of the media, who omitted
  160. several key factors which we will explain here.  We will probably never know,
  161. exactly what really happened, but with the amount of information we have
  162. collected is shocking.  The news media of this country have aided the
  163. government in covering-up this government operation that was nothing short of
  164. genocide.

  166.                                The 911 Recording

  169.     The news media completely ignored the little known "911 call" that was
  170. made by the Davidians right when the siege began.  The call was answered with
  171. someone saying, "How ya'll doin out daire".  Obviously more people were in on
  172. the operation than we had been lead to believe.  This 911 recording was
  173. confiscated by the FBI.
  174.  
  175.     Recently however, I saw a two paragraph article in the newspaper that
  176. stated, "Congress demands 911 recording from FBI."  Remember, it was a two
  177. paragraph article, small print, and way back in the back of the paper.  Just a
  178. few weeks ago it was front page news.  They (the media/gov't) seem to think
  179. that if we aren't constantly reminded of things through television, we will
  180. soon forget about it.

  182.     The recording was delivered to Congress for their inquiry.  However,
  183. Congress did have one question: Why was the recording edited?  Certain parts
  184. of the tape were edited out!  This SCREAMS of a cover-up on behalf of the FBI.

  187.                           The UNEDITED Video Footage

  190.     We have all seen the footage of the ATF storming the compound and getting
  191. shot at.  Well, recently we acquired some interesting information about the
  192. "unedited" version of that tape.  There are several points of interest, which
  193. I have copied into this file from another text file.  The full text original

  198. Over the ensuing weeks the tape was studied carefully by myself as well as
  199. several men with military and law enforcement backgrounds including
  200. veterans who served under Col. Hackworth. The conclusions reached are as
  201. follows;
  202.  
  203. 1.  Bureau of Alcohol and Firearms officers, either through mishandling,
  204.     improper preparation, and or defective equipment, suffered a minimum of
  205.     two accidental weapon discharges. The first of which involved the Heckler-
  206.     Koch MP5 assault rifle and resulted in the death of Spl.  Agent Stephen
  207.     Willis and the injuring of another officer as yet unidentified.  The
  208.     second discharge occurred on an aluminum ladder involving a Sig-Sauer P228
  209.     semi-automatic handgun, which according to John C.  Killorin, Chief of
  210.     Public Affairs, ATF, has no safety.  The weapon discharged in the Holster
  211.     of Agent Conway C. LeBleu, resulting in a flesh wound to his right leg.
  212.     Agent LeBleu was able to ascend the ladder but met with death after
  213.     entering a second story window.
  214.  
  215. 2.  The attack plan failed to take into account the unusual architecture of
  216.     the compound and thereby subjected officers crossing the roof from South
  217.     to North to crossfire from agents seen firing from behind vehicles located
  218.     on the West or front side of the compound.
  219.  
  220. 3.  The plan overestimated and or was misinformed as to the construction of
  221.     exterior and interior walls. This caused helicopter based gunfire to pass
  222.     completely through the building at angles endangering friendly forces on
  223.     the ground.
  224.  
  225. 4.  The plan relied too heavily upon radio communications. When those
  226.     communications were compromised, there was confusion as to the location of
  227.     various forces, enemy as well as friendly. This too was a factor in the
  228.     accidental tossing of a fragmentation device into the second story room,
  229.     further identified as a 10'x 10' room adjoining David Koresh's living
  230.     quarters, which led to the death of agents Robert J.  Williams, Todd
  231.     McKeehan, and Conway LeBleu.  SEE ATTACHED EXHIBIT "A"
  232.  
  233. 5.  Despite public statements to the contrary, agents are seen firing blindly
  234.     into walls and windows without properly acquiring a target.  This practice
  235.     is known as "spray and pray" in law enforcement circles, and is
  236.     unacceptable while executing an arrest warrant on one man and one man only
  237.     where more than 100 innocent women, children and men are residing.
  238.  
  239. 6.  If after the fact statements by ATF spokesperson are true, and these
  240.     affiants actually possessed and or were suspected to possess weapons in
  241.     the type and amount necessary to warrant the enforcement manpower at hand,
  242.     then it is clear that management personnel failed miserably in pre-
  243.     arranging ambulance and medical services for wounded or traumatized
  244.     personnel as evidenced by agents seen and heard well into the "firefight"
  245.     telling TV cameraman to "call for an ambulance".
  246.  
  247. 7.  ATF spokesmen Dan Conroy, Jack Killorin, Steven Higgins, and David Troy
  248.     have repeatedly stated publicly that the "element of surprise" was
  249.     paramount to the success of the "mission", yet video-tape reveals that two
  250.     reporters are actually sitting clearly visible in a tree in front of the
  251.     compound, and channel 10 crews were actually invited to "follow the ATF
  252.     horse trailers in", per telephone conversation with Mr.  Virgil L.  Teter
  253.     V.P. News KWTX, Waco.
  254.  
  255. 8.  Despite insistence that National Guard helicopters were requisitioned only
  256.     to search for "hot spots" in the compound, their approach is clearly too
  257.     low and off to the right and left to provide such a function.
  258.  
  259. 9.  Despite public statements that the three helicopters used in the raid
  260.     sustained fir they are seen being examined in subsequent video-tape and no
  261.     damage is visible.
  262.  
  263. 10. At the end of the video-tape an unidentified Davidian is seen and heard
  264.     from a lower story doorway repeatedly calling for "peace" each time he is
  265.     met with a hail of gunfire.
  266.  
  267. 11. Agents are taped being allowed and assisted in the removal of wounded
  268.     officers, this behavior is inconsistent with persons having murderous
  269.     intent.

  280.     This is perhaps the most important factor of the whole operation.  This
  281. is the Achilles Heel of the ATF's attack.  This is the final proof of the
  282. government's violation of its own laws and the rights of private citizens!

  284.     I personally thank the individual(s) who acquired a copy of the Search
  285. Warrant and typed it into text format.  The text file is available now on
  286. DnA Systems as well.  The textfile is interesting reading for just about
  287. anyone, but there is hidden proof that document that proves the government
  288. violated many laws on this one.

  302.     If you have a copy of the Search Warrant you can verify this for
  303. yourself.  If not, the above excerpt is an exact copy of the signature of the
  304. search warrant.  The search warrant was signed and authorized by a U.S.
  305. Magistrate.  A U.S. Magistrate DOES NOT HAVE THE POWER TO ISSUE SEARCH
  306. WARRANTS!!!  A Magistrate is the equivalent to a law clerk, with a fancy
  307. title.

  309.     A search warrant MUST be SIGNED (not stamped), by a U.S. District Court
  310. Judge.  Only then is it valid.  Most people do not know this.  The media
  311. sure as hell didn't pick up on it, because it would seriously embarrass the
  312. FBI, ATF, Waco police and sheriff, and other agencies of the U.S.
  313. Government.  Not to mention the other agencies who use these ILLEGAL search
  314. warrants to get people to comply.  If this little fact was common knowledge,
  315. agencies would have a hell of a time getting "informed" Americans to comply
  316. with their search warrants.

  318. Please read "5THAMEND.TXT", for more information on how various
  319. government entities try to get you to "voluntarily" discard your rights.

  321.     Since the search warrant was indeed invalid, then the ATF knew that they
  322. couldn't get an authorized warrant through the correct process and instead
  323. used bluff tactics to serve the warrant.  As we all know, they failed, and
  324. ended up in a stalemate.  Who knows who started the fire at the compound
  325. that killed everyone inside.  We might not ever know the truth about what
  326. happened, but we won't stop seeking the truth in this matter.

  332.     Of course, the media had an instant hard-on over the whole ordeal.
  333. One local television station bought the movie rights not 48 hours after it
  334. all started.  If there was going to be bloodshed and mayhem with the
  335. federal good-guys doing their job, thats what they could capitalize on.
  336.  
  337.     During that time we ourselves were assaulted with talkshows with ex-
  338. Davidians who were telling all, interviews with psychiatrists, statistics
  339. of cults in America, and so on and so fourth.  The media had no shame and
  340. no soul during this time.  If there was death and destruction, they would
  341. find a way to get you to turn on the television at any cost.

  343.     I noticed how the entire "911 recording" cover-up has been mentioned
  344. VERY little, if at all.  On the other hand, we instantly see that Koresh
  345. had a thing for Madonna and its front page news.  Who the phuck cares!?
  346.  
  347.     The news media is guilty of omission of the facts and being manipulated
  348. by government entities.  We no longer have a freedom of the press.  Oh yes,
  349. they are free, but not when they investigate a major cover-up on the
  350. government's part.

  356.     The L.A. riots was a perfect example of an oppressed society gone mad.
  357. The media, no matter what they phucking say, had the biggest part in the
  358. destruction of L.A.  Since I am close to L.A. I was blessed (cursed) with
  359. the good (bad) fortune of witnessing the news media in action.  It will be
  360. something that I shall never forget.  After the Rodney King verdict was
  361. read, Channel 7, EyeWitness(less) News with Paul Moyer (the person who
  362. officially started the riots) aired the following at the now infamous
  363. corner of Florance and Normandie....(this is what happened)
  364.  
  365. Paul Moyer: Well, as we can clearly see by our SkyCam, there are many
  366.             people gathering in the intersection now.  Wait
  367.             wait...somethings going on. People are looting the stores down
  368.             there, throwing bottles, and getting into brawls.  It appears
  369.             that a riot has started....
  370.

  373. Paul Moyer: Yes folks, the police have officially left the area!  They have
  374.             withdrawn to regroup.

  377.     Within five minutes from this announcement, the entire street below
  378. is SWARMING with people.  Fires are started, people injured or killed, etc.
  379. It was evident that people living in the area were watching ole Mr. Moyer's
  380. wonderful announcement that the police have left the area.  This is a prime
  381. example of irresponsibility in the news media.  I personally want to see
  382. Paul Moyer out of a job for what he has done.  I do know he has received
  383. some "criticism", but he should be barred from the airwaves permanently.

  385.     During the "Phederal Trial" of the officers involved, the media had still
  386. not learned it's lesson.  This time we heard quotes like the following from
  387. the news media: (this is not a joke, they actually did this)
  388.  
  389. <<Ominous Announcer>>: "The southland...a timebomb ticking away?!, for up to
  390.                         the minute reports and the gutsy reporting YOU NEED.
  391.                         ...Quick, turn on Channel 2 Action News!"
  392.  
  393.     Tensions mounted almost to the point of panic during the Jury's
  394. deliberation period.  Families pulled their children from school, fearful for
  395. their safety, due to the picture the media was painting.
  396.  
  397.     People here in California claim that the riots started for different
  398. reasons.  Those who believe that they are well informed because they watch the
  399. news every night or read the paper every morning, they think that the riots
  400. started because the population was outraged at the verdicts of the trial.
  401. Others who are immune to this form of brainwashing see it for what it really
  402. is.  No doubt, most of the beginning incidents were due to the verdict, but
  403. when Paul Moyer's announcment was broadcast all over L.A., chaos insued.  It
  404. doesn't take a phucking professor to figure CAUSE and EFFECT!
